Spreading Love at Princess Alice
Simunye volunteers spread the love at Princess Alice Adoption Center – holding babies, singing lull-a-byes, sorting/folding clothing donations and gardening. So much fun and such a hard place to leave.
For the love of reading Donating books to Tshepang
Tshepang kids loved the new books with beautiful pictures, good writing in local languages. Really engaging for the kids who don’t get the chance to read very often.
Making New Friends
The first few days of the trip, the Simunye volunteers completed clean up and renovation projects in Tshepang, enjoyed making new friends, playing games and giving lots and lots of shoulder rides.
And they’re off!
Our Simunye Project students and trip leaders are off and running! They landed safely in South Africa and are already hard at work at making an impact. 
Annual Dessert Party a Success! $13,000 raised to support the Simunye Project
A big THANK YOU to all who joined us at Saturday’s Annual Simunye Project Dessert Party. Between online activities, fun and games during the event and generous donors — $13,000 was raised. Adding that to student contributions and other donations, more than $32,000 has been raised for this year’s trip. But we’re not stopping there! From baked goods to babysitting. From construction to original works of art. From after school jobs to selling poinsettia plants. Our Simunye Project students have been hard at work. To date, they’ve raised over $10,000 to support the education, building and food donations for this year’s trip. We’re making progress but we’re aiming high and working hard to fundraise more.
